Before joining Google in 2022, I spent several years supporting high-net-worth individuals in finance.
When the Google opportunity came along, I was in the final stages of securing a much higher paying role. But deep down, I couldn’t ignore the pull of a lifelong dream. In my early twenties, I’d worked part‑time at YouTube, and ever since, earning that coveted blue badge as a full‑time Googler had been my goal.
Landing the role felt impossible. The competition was intense with many of the candidates already working at Google. But somehow, I landed the role.
So why would I walk away from my dream job just two years later?

Like everything in life, there were pros and cons. Google was an incredible company to work for, but it didn’t align with my bigger goals. I wanted the freedom to move abroad and dedicate more time to volunteer work. The 9 to 5 grind simply didn’t allow for that.
So I took what I do best, supporting high performing individuals, and built a business around it. Through LinkedIn, I connected with people who genuinely needed my help. Over time, I replaced my Google income and discovered something powerful: I wasn’t an imposter. I was helping people generate real sales, and LinkedIn was the perfect platform to do it.
